It’s the year 2012, and Robert Neville is probably the last man on Earth. Three years before, a mysterious disease killed millions of people, and a part of them turned into vampires that can only survive in the darkness. But Robert Neville is somehow immune to the virus. So day after day, he’s trying to survive, to find a cure and to find out if there’s another human being somewhere out there.
I Am Legend is an exciting horror-thriller that tells a story about a fight of one man against everyone, including himself. The novel is filled with intense adventures and an interesting plot, so you’ll probably read it all in one breath.
Also, there have been 4 movie adaptations of the book (I Am Legend (2007), The Omega Man (1971), The Last Man on Earth (1964), I Am Omega (2007). In I Am Legend movie, Robert Neville is played by Will Smith. And I rarely admit this, but I would even dare to say that this film is better than the actual book. But again, it can be just because I really like Will Smith. However, even if you’ve already watched the movie, the book is still worth reading because it’s quite different from the movie.
