After the invention of the electric guitar and bringing solid body guitars to perfection, companies that lead guitar industry realized they could make them any shape …so they did.
These are a few of the more bizzare shapes that appeared over the years.

Bo Diddley, original player of weird guitars, with his box shaped guitar made by Gretsch specially for him.

Frank Zappa in the ’70s with a pencil-thin Vox guitar.

Eric Bloom of Blue Oyster Cult with his custom built guitar in the shape of the band’s logo, alongside lead guitarist Buck Dharma.

Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick showing off with his double-neck guitar built in his own image.

Randy Piper (then with WASP) gets his BC Rich guitar with a twist. Hehe literally.

Bass players got into the groove too. Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue gives his Hamer the popular blood dripping look.

A man, who really likes his Jack Daniels, Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony with matching guitar and bottle.
