The Hunger Games movies are split up into four separate films, the last part being divided into two individual films because of its length. The Hunger Games movies are made after Suzanne Collins’ s book series of the same name. The Hunger Games itself is a concept taken from the 100 –year –old decree signed by the council of Panem at the time when a great war plagued Panem into almost total destruction. Each year a boy and a girl tribute is chosen at random from each District and sent to fight to death in the arena in the Capitol. The last tribute to survive wins The Hunger Games, and is given eternal glory.
The story continues as Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) are chosen to be the tributes for District 12 and are sent to the arena to fight all of the other tributes. There are many beautiful and sad moments throughout the movie captured in the amazing scenery and the tales of the actors enrolled to play their part are quite compelling.
The first movie ends on a cliffhanger, forcing the audience to desire more to answer their questions. Although all of the story has already been written in the books, the Hunger Games series is still popular to this day due to the amazing way it has been produced.
