Living Ink, sounds crazy, right? Well it’s the worlds first time-lapse ink that allows us to write, sketch, draw or paint our story over time. Molecular biologists Scott and Steve are the founders of Living Ink who spent the last two years developing the first product that uses living algae cells as ink for messages and paintings that grow and change every day!
This idea was thought up in the greeting card aisle, while molecular biologist Scott was shopping for his grandma’s birthday card. Thereafter, they were on a mission to use sustainable algae technology to replace regular ink. They loaded pens with algae and accomplished their crazy idea, and now anyone can dabble in time-lapse bioart!
